Free art

I am trying out a new idea. I’m offering free postcard-sized prints of my work to anyone who is interested. I’ll send a small number each month and work my way through the list of people who sign up. If I run out you might get a second! No strings attached just sharing my art with others.

For a long time I posted on social media, but became disillusioned, as many others have. Not only is social media addictive and unhealthy, my reach constantly shrank every time the algorithm changed. I would need to adjust my approach, making videos instead of still, post at specific times, add sound. At first some of this was a nice challenge. But I don’t want to define my work by the needs of a corporate behemoth, not to mention add to an AI dataset stealing work from humans.

I will probably still share work and updates on social media, but I like the idea of a more direct connection. These postcards are really an experiment. I may offer other ways of sharing my work if it works out.

I can’t guarantee the type of work I will send. I make photographs, 3D renderings and create generative work (not usually with AI however). You can see some of the work I will likely start with on my website. But part of this process is to encourage myself to make new work so expect something different.
